Anna Silk
Anna Silk, born January 31st 1974 in Fredericton New Brunswick Canada is an actress best known for playing Bo on the Showcase show Lost Girl. Silk was a native of Fredericton, New Brunswick in Canada. Ilkay and Peter Silk both were academics. Ilkay was also a writer, producer, and director. She's the director of drama at St. Thomas University. Her father is British and her mother a Turkish-Cypriot-English expat. Anna recalls her mom watching while at work, and also attending practice sessions for plays. Silk was a part of numerous commercials for kids. She graduated with a Bachelor's in Arts in 1997 from St. Thomas University in 1997. Her early theater experience includes at the very least two productions for Theatre St. Thomas: Seven Menus and The Kitchen. Silk moved to Toronto Canada in the month of November of 1999 to continue her acting. Then she moved in Los Angeles California during the following decade. Seth Cooperman was her future partner when she met him in 2007 at an Actors' Workshop in Los Angeles. They got married in December 2009 after a civil wedding ceremony. They renewed their vows April 10, 2011 in Fredericton in the aftermath of Silk's converted to Judaism. Silk Cooperman's son was born May of 2013, and her son was who was named Samuel Jerome Cooperman. Levi Aaron was her second born baby on May 13, the 13th of May, 2016. Silk's television work includes the role of Cassidy Holland in Being Erica for which she received a Gemini Awards nomination in 2009. The role was assigned to her as Bo Dennis the succubus on the Canadian television series Lost Girl in 2009. Silk announced to the fans the joyous announcement that she became pregnant while filming season 3 in an exclusive pre-show for Season Three. This was broadcasted by Showcase during an exclusive Season Three show held January 6, 2013, prior to the series' premiere. Silk tweeted on June 20, 2013 that she was ready to return to her work. The 4th of June 2013, Showcase and Prodigy Pictures officially declared the start of final season of production. CNN's Cable News Network named her portrayal of Bo and Lauren (Zoie Parker) in Lost Girl as same-sex couples as one of their most-loved television Couples. E! named them as the most popular Television Couple for 2013. Entertainment Television. Because of Silk's popularity Silk has garnered a prominent online following on social media.
